This is my kitchen counter before...Laminate installed by the builder. Not completely ugly, I lived with it for three years but we wanted an upgrade.
BAM!!!! The new granite looks Awesome. It is beautiful. This pic is how it looks about halfway through installation. The sink is not in yet.
Ta Dah! My favorite part is the sink. It is beautiful. Granite composite with the Delta Touch faucet.
Finished product. The floors are next. Stay tuned for the new floor in the kitchen and bathroom makeover.

It all Started with a Mirror...
This is my first post on my new blog spot and I wanted to explain how I chose my title. My husband and I are do it yourselfers, we are always dreaming of and making changes to our home. I come up with the ideas and he helps me make it happen. Currently, we are starting a small remodeling project in our kitchen and master bath. The home we currently live in is beautiful. I love it. It is perfect for our family but when we found our home it was very basic with the finishes included. All "builder's grade" materials. So we have slowly been upgrading it along the way. Paint, carpeting, building a third bathroom for my oldest son, and tiling a backsplash in the kitchen are some of the things we have done so far. The thing I hate most about my home are these huge frameless mirrors hanging on the walls of our bathrooms. They are glued to the wall and I know I will be so happy to see them come down. We have been talking about taking these monsters down for 4 years. They are finally coming down this month. I created this blog to celebrate. Pictures to follow...stay tuned.
